Chicken Fried Steak

  • 1 lb steak pounded flat
  • 2 cups All purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch (optional)
  • 1.5 tbsp Cooking With Greens Seasoning Blend
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • vegetable oil

In a bowl, mix flour and cornstarch. In a second bowl, whisk together seasoning blend, buttermilk, egg hot sauce and garlic. Heat enough vegetable oil in a saucepan to cover meat. Dredge steak in flour mixture, then buttermilk mixture, then again in flour mixture, patting flour on to ensure that all of area is covered. Place Meat in hot oil and cook for a few minutes until steak is browned. Serve covered with gravy
