Cheddar Bay Biscuits (Cheesy, Fluffy, Better Than Restaurant!)

  • These Easy Cheddar Bay Biscuits are cheesy, fluffy, and packed with garlic butter flavor—just like your favorite restaurant, but even better and ready in 20 minutes!

    Introduction

There’s nothing quite like a basket of warm, cheesy Cheddar Bay Biscuits to make any meal feel special. With a tender crumb, plenty of sharp cheddar, and a generous brush of garlic-herb butter, these biscuits are a family favorite for everything from weeknight dinners to holiday feasts. Best of all, they come together in just 20 minutes—no rolling or cutting required!

    Ingredients

    For the Biscuits

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 Tbsp baking powder
    • 2 tsp sugar
    • 1/2 tsp salt (or Cooking with Greens Go To Blend)
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (or Cooking with Greens Garlic Black Pepper Blend)
    • 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cubed
    • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    • 3/4 cup cold milk (plus more if needed)

    For the Garlic Butter Topping

    • 3 Tbsp melted butter
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (or Cooking with Greens Garlic Black Pepper Blend)
    • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tsp dried)

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, salt (or Go To Blend), and garlic powder.
    3. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    4. Stir in cheddar cheese. Add milk and mix just until a soft dough forms (do not overmix).
    5. Drop spoonfuls of dough (about 1/4 cup each) onto the prepared baking sheet.
    6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown.
    7. While biscuits bake, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley for the topping.
    8. Brush hot biscuits with garlic butter as soon as they come out of the oven. Serve warm and enjoy!

    Tips & Variations

    • Use buttermilk for extra tang and tenderness.
