Ingredients
For the Gravy
- 1/4 cup cooking oil, divided
- 1/2 cup flour
- 32 oz beef stock
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 pack Cooking with Greens Mrs. Anit's Gravy Mix
- 2 tsp Cooking with Greens No Salt Go To Blend
- 2 tsp Cooking with Greens No Salt Herb Blend
- 1 tsp Cooking with Greens No Salt Onion Black Pepper Blend
- 1 tsp Cooking with Greens Pink Himalayan Seasoning Blend
- 1 large onion, sliced
For the Patties
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 Tbsp Cooking with Greens No Salt Go To Blend
- 1 Tbsp Cooking with Greens Garlic Herb Blend
- 1 tsp Cooking with Greens No Salt Onion Black Pepper Blend
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/4 cup grated onion
Instructions
Make the Gravy
- In a saucepan, heat 1 Tbsp oil over medium heat until hot. Add sliced onions and cook until translucent. Remove onions and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to the pan. Whisk in flour, stirring constantly until browned and forming a roux.
- Slowly add beef stock and gravy mix, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup. Add No Salt Go To Blend, No Salt Herb Blend, No Salt Onion Black Pepper Blend, and Pink Himalayan Seasoning Blend. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Return cooked onions to the gravy. If needed, thin gravy with additional broth.
Make the Patties
- In a bowl, mix together all ingredients except the ground beef.
- Gently fold in ground beef, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
- Form into 5 rectangular patties.
- In a sauté pan, brown patties on all sides, searing and caramelizing the outside.
- Once caramelized, transfer patties to the gravy. Cover and simmer for 8–10 minutes, until cooked through.
Serve
- Serve hot, spooning extra onion gravy over the patties. Enjoy with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite sides.
