Salisbury Steak

GRAVY

  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 32 oz beef stock
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 
  • 1 pack of CWG Mrs Anit's Gravy Mix
  • 2 tsp Cooking With Greens No Salt Go To Blend
  • 2 tsp Cooking With Greens No Salt Herb Blend
  • 1 tsp Cooking With Greens No Salt Onion Black Pepper Blend
  • 1 tsp Cooking With Greens Pink Himalayan Seasoning Blend
  • 1 Large onion sliced
In a sauce pan, heat cooking 1 tbsp oil until hot. Add onions and cook until translucent. Remove onions and add remaining oil to pan. Slowly add flour whisking constantly until browned. slowly add broth and gravy mix continually mixing. Add cream of soup. season and taste.  Add onions back to gravy. Gravy can be thinned by adding more broth.

PATTIES

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 Tbsp CWG No salt go to blend
  • 1 Tbsp CWG Garlic Herb blend
  • 1 tsp CWG No Salt Onion Black Pepper blend
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup grated onion

Mix together all ingredients except ground beef. Fold in ground beef, keeping in mind that you don't want to overwork it. Form 5 patties into rectangular shape. Brown patties in saute pan, searing and caramelizing the outside of each patty. Once caramelized, add patties to gravy and cover. Simmer for 8-10 minutes. Serve.
