BBQ "Chicken" Jackfruit Pizza

  • Ready made pizza crust (or prepare your own)
  • 1 20 oz can of young jackfruit drained and rinsed
  • t tbsp olive oil
  • /2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Cooking With Greens Herb Blend
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tbsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp pink himalayan sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp honey
  • 1/8 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 cup chicken or other stock
BBQ Pizza Sauce
  • 1/2 cup bbq sauce
  • 1/2 cup pizza or tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire
  • 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp minced onion
  • 1 tsp pineapple juice
Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Shred jackfruit with a fork, removing seeds, until shredded meat consistency is obtained. place jackfruit in bowl with all other ingredients except broth and combine. Place this mixture in a hot sauce pan and cook until jackfruit starts to slightly caramelize. Add stock to pan. Cover and cook, mixing often until all liquid is absorbed. Continue to cook jackfruit until dry.
In a bowl, add all bbq sauce ingriedients. Whisk together and add to a small saucepot. bring to boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Cool.
Spoon sauce over pizza crust. Sprinkle on jackfruit. Add cheese and any other toppings. Place in oven and cook until cheese is melted and slightly browned.
