- 1 1/2 pound Large shrimp peeled deveined
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1 cup corn meal
- 1 tbsp Cooking With Greens Go To Blend
- 2 tbsp Cooking With Greens Creole Blend
- 1 cup buttermilk ( if you do not have buttermilk, use regular milk with either 1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar)
- 3-4 split top rolls
- vegetable oil
In large saucepan, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil. Mix seasonings in one bowl, buttermilk in second bowl and flour and cornmeal in 3rd bowl. Toss shrimp in seasonings and let sit until oil is hot enough (appx 350 degrees). Dip seasoned shrimp in buttermilk then dry mixture. Drop immediately in oil. Let shrimp cook appx 3 minutes or until browned. Take out of pan and drain on paper.
prepare rolls by toasting each side in a buttered pan. Place shrimp in roll and enjoy!
