Brussel Sprouts

  • Brussel Sprouts halved
  • 1/2 sweet onion diced
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 lb smoked meat diced
  • olive oil
  • 1 tbsp “Better Than Bouillon” Brand Vegetable bouillon
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Add about 2 tbsp of olive oil to cast iron skillet on top of stove and add onion and garlic. Cook until onion starts to carmelize. Add smoked meat and also carmelize. Once done, place brussel sprouts cut side down in pan. Move around to ensure contact with bottom of pan, but do not remove other ingredients...also, DO NOT MOVE THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS. This is to ensure proper carmelization to the bottom of the sprouts. Drizzle olive oil on top and Cook on medium high heat for 8 minutes. Brush or drizzle vegetable bouillon paste over sprout and place in oven for 20 minutes. Every 5 minutes, open the oven and mix everything up. Take out and serve!
